Tortillas (Flour)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. shortening
  • Glass of hot water

DIRECTIONS

Heat a cast iron griddle up on the stove over medium heat. While the griddle is heating up, mix the flour, salt and baking powder together in a large bowl. Add the shortening and blend that into the mixture by hand. Take the glass of hot water and slowly blend that into the mixture until a dough forms. The dough should be wet enough to where it is sightly sticky.

Roll the dough into balls and then roll out in a tortilla form. Cook each side on the cast iron griddle until a few brown spots appear. Enjoy!
